This was such a great session. Miss M was the perfect little sleeper and we were able to get images in lots of different set ups.

And as you can see from this pullback, she has her daddy wrapped around her tiny little fingers already. Love that little smile!

This little cutie’s parents brought him in to see me when he was just 4 days new! He had some trouble containing his excitement for picture day and stayed awake for most of the time. That is until we put him in the bucket all cozy, snuggly warm. Then he was out and I was able to capture some really sweet sleepy images.

I am proud to announce my acceptance by the Professional Photographers of Canada for my accreditation application in Newborn Portraiture!

I joined the PPOC in 2012 as a way to further drive myself to be the best I can be and connect myself with other great Canadian photographers.  When the April accreditation deadline was quickly approaching I wasn’t sure if I was going to submit any images then or wait for the next deadline in July. I had just finished a crazy busy month full of awesome shoots and so, on that wave of confidence and creative energy, I carefully selected and prepared my 10 images for submission. I figured this was a good way to gauge my progress as I still consider myself a “newbie” to the professional photographer scene. I am always learning and trying new things (lighting, props, poses, editing styles) and it’s always nice to double and triple check that I am heading in the right direction. So when I got the email last week congratulating me I was completely floored!

When I joined them in 2011 I got to meet so many great women, and this year was no exception. The OEYC had lots of great food on hand, lots of fun games and lots of wonderful prizes from local businesses.

I set up a mini-studio in one area of the room with my chalkboard backdrop and let the moms-to-be write a special message to their baby. Then, while I held some super-mini sessions in the background, everyone got to hear some great info on the services the OEYC provides (there are A LOT!),  and learned about Usborne Books and the benefits of cloth diapering!

These women are truly beautiful and I wish them all the best with the remainder of their pregnancies. Maybe I’ll get to see their sweet little newborns in the studio soon too

This little sweetheart’s mom was given maternity and newborn sessions as a gift from another one of the families I’ve photographed. I am truly honored to have past families recommend Live Every Moment Photography to their friends and love love LOVE getting to meet such wonderful new families

At 6 days new, Shelby-Lyn is one of the youngest babies I’ve had come into the studio. I love when they are all sleepy and squishy! And look at that hair!
